Nearly 350 artists will perform at the opening ceremony of the HBL PSL 2020, which will be held Thursday at the Karachi National Stadium. The metropolitan city is set to burn down as artists from different musical genres – Sufi, pop, rock, bhangra and folk – come together to perform at what will be the largest opening ceremony in the history of HBL PSL.
Thousands of fans in the stadium will be on the edge of their seats and millions around the world will be glued to their televisions as world famous artists like Abrar-ul-Haq, Aima Baig, Abu Mohammad, Fareed Ayaz, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sajjad Ali, Sanam Marvi and rock band Soch will embellish the ceremony with their breathtaking performances, while Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, Haroon and Asim Azhar will perform the HBL PSL 2020 anthem Tayyar Hain . The scintillating ceremony, which will take place before the tournament opening match between reigning champions Quetta Gladiators and double champion Islamabad United, will also include riveting and a spectacular fireworks display. “It is only fitting that a large and prestigious opening ceremony be organized to welcome Pakistan ‘s own HBL PSL to the country. We have brought together all the best artists in the country to set the tone for what will be an epic tournament. ” The ceremony, which will last approximately one hour, will start at 6.45 p.m. The draw for the first match will take place at 8:30 p.m., while the highly anticipated first ball of the HBL PSL 2020 will be delivered at 9 p.m.
