The UAE will suspend the visa on arrival from March 19 until further notice. The country’s mission to United Kingdom has tweeted.

As of March 17, the UAE had suspended all entry visas for foreigners. The only exceptions previously announced were diplomatic passport holders and those who could obtain a visa upon arrival.

However, the United Arab Emirates embassy in the UK stated:

UAE is taking additional steps to combat the proliferation of # COVID19, which will affect travelers from the UK. No visas will be issued on March 19 until further notice UAE residents are not affected.
