Islamabad scored 28.63 points on the crime index and 71.37 points on the security index, which makes it safer than many international cities, including Sydney, Berlin, London, Paris, Moscow and Shanghai.

On the contrary, the Indian capital has placed New Delhi out of 69 – among the most dangerous cities in the world, thanks to the rising crime rate against minorities, in particular Muslims and Dalits.

According to the report, the crime rate in Islamabad has decreased by 4% compared to the previous year, which is why the federal capital is one of the safest cities for foreigners in the world.

Commenting on this remarkable achievement, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Mohammad Aamir Zulfiqar, attributed an effective strategy to reducing the crime rate.

He expressed satisfaction with the decrease in the number of deaths in criminal activities, which was also appreciated in the report, saying that the police will do everything to protect the lives and property of citizens.
