Prime Minister Imran Khan’s consecutive talks with US President Donald Trump appear to have paid off, improving the deterioration in relations between the two countries. The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) will also benefit from the efforts of the PM, which announced the launch of direct flights to the United States in 2020.
Details of the proposed operations in the United States were previously unknown, however, a response from the official handful of PIA on Twitter hinted that the flights will begin in April of this year.
This is great news for many overseas Pakistanis in the United States and for frequent travelers between the two countries. The new route will reduce travel time while allowing the Pakistani patriot to contribute to the success of their national standard bearer.
PIA had previously suspended flights to the United States due to huge financial losses.
That said, in light of PIA’s mismanagement in previous years, another Twitter user, Mohmand Khan, hoped that the plan for April would not be an “April Fool”.
