From popular landmarks to hotels and leisure facilities, Dubai has put its hands on deck to roll out the red carpet for tourists who arrive in the Emirate today, July 7th. Top draw destinations across the city have outlined their preparations for receiving incoming visitors.
Working closely with key aviation, travel and hospitality leaders, Dubai Tourism has assured global travelers that comprehensive security measures have been taken to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. The emirate is not only a must, but also offers first-class health and safety standards. The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) awarded the emirate the Safe Travel stamp last week, confirming the strict hygiene and safety protocols the city has put in place to prepare for tourists.
Dubai Frame
A Dubai Frame representative found that the attraction contains all the necessary health and safety protocols, including temperature checks at the entrance, thermal scanners, social distance signs that require guests to be within two meters of each other, and regular facility disinfection.
Ski Dubai, Cinema
Cameron Mitchell, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas and Majid Al Futtaim Leisure and Entertainment, found that the group has used the recent closings to do extensive research to “proactively rethink the guest trip,” such as VOX Cinemas, Ski Dubai , Dreamscape, Magic Planet, Little Explorers and iFly Dubai.
“By pre-booking tickets online, guests can now enjoy a skip-the-line experience. We also offer contactless payment options,” he said. The group has also introduced ambassadors for safe distancing.
Mitchell noted that they had received “mostly positive” feedback. Almost 100 percent of Ski Dubai guests surveyed stated that they were either “satisfied or extremely satisfied” with the new protective measures.
Atlantis, The Palm, Palm Jumeirah
A representative from Atlantis, The Palm, confirmed that hotel hygiene and cleanliness standards are being taken “very seriously” to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The five-star hotel has taken extensive measures, including assigning alternative counters to register guests and assigning rooms with a space in between to force social distance. In addition, employees were trained in Covid 19 protocols and the frequency of changing the air filter and cleaning the HVAC system was increased.
Each guest room is also equipped with an equipment set consisting of masks, gloves, hand and spray disinfectants.
Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo
