Dubai is expected to open to tourists in early July after the coronavirus pandemic stopped arriving.

The reopening is expected to begin gradually and may be delayed until September, depending on global trends, Helal Al Marri, director general of the Dubai Ministry of Tourism and Trade Marketing, told Bloomberg TV.

“The scenario is a global issue,” said Al Marri. “Many countries remain closed and it’s more about the bilateral discussion.”

Dubai’s economy is heavily dependent on tourism, trade and retail.
