With the newly introduced self-check-in and bag-drop kiosks from Emirates at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, passengers can check in even more seamlessly.
Emirates has installed eight self-service check-in machines and 16 baggage claim machines so that passengers can not only check in and drop off their suitcases but also receive boarding passes and choose seats on board.
However, this service is not available to customers traveling to the United States, Canada, China, India, and Hong Kong due to additional requirements for these destinations.
While Emirates staff are available for assistance, the service aims to reduce waiting times at peak times and allow customers to immigrate quickly.
The self-check-in kiosks, which were developed in collaboration with Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects and the Dubai airports in Emirates, are continuously updated to offer new functions in the future, including touch-free functions and the possibility of rebooking.
Keeping in mind the safety of passengers during the pandemic, the self-service kiosks will be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis, and hand sanitizer will be available to customers throughout the airport.
In addition, Emirates offers flexible booking options for tickets purchased on or before March 31, 2021. Customers can enjoy the rebooking terms and options in case they change their travel plans as they have options to change travel dates and extend the validity of the tickets by 2 years or convert the ticket into a travel voucher for future flight related purchases for themselves yourself or their family and friends to use.
