The government of Dubai has offered to support Emirates and will pump cash to the company to protect it from the effects of the corona virus pandemic.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, said the airline is vital to the strategic interests of the UAE’s economy.
“Dubai is determined to support Emirates Airlines in the current critical phase,” he added.
The Dubai airline canceled the vast majority of its flights last month in response to the global ban that has started to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
Emirates is one of the largest airlines in the world and operates the largest fleets of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.
It may be noted that the airlines was in profits since 1985.
