Etihad Airways is offering passengers Covid-19 insurance as part of Etihad Wellness, a new health and hygiene initiative.
Guests diagnosed with Covid-19 during their trip do not have to worry about medical or quarantine costs when flying.
Duncan Bureau, Etihad Airways’ senior vice president of sales, said, “The safety, health and well-being of our guests and employees is our top priority during and after the flight.
“The introduction of global Covid-19 insurance in collaboration with AXA builds on strict measures that have already been taken as part of our Etihad Wellness program, which is supported by our Wellness Ambassadors.
“This additional coverage not only creates confidence in the travel, but also reassures our guests that we are doing everything we can to keep them safe and secure.
“As more and more countries open their borders, we are making it as easy as possible for our guests to easily plan their next trip.”
All Etihad tickets for which traveling is before December 31st are insured.
