King Salman issued an order on Sunday to impose a curfew across Saudi Arabia from Monday evening to combat against corona virus.

A royal court statement by the Saudi Press Agency said that the curfew will begin at 7 p.m. 21 days from the evening of 28th Rajab 1441 in the Hijri calendar every day until 6 a.m., corresponding to 23 March 2020 in the Gregorian calendar.

King Salman’s order followed an announcement by the Ministry of Health of 119 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, bringing the total in the kingdom to 511.

The order obliges citizens and residents to remain in their homes for their own safety during the curfew.

The statement said the Ministry of the Interior would take the necessary measures to implement the curfew and all civil and military authorities were asked to cooperate fully.
