Surprisingly, Pakistan has banned international passengers from entering the country unless they report negative COVID-19 test results on arrival at airports and at land borders. This will be effective from 21st March, 2020.

Covid19 Pakistan

The move announced by the government on Tuesday shocked passengers, particularly Pakistani expatriates, because healthy people cannot be tested on COVID-19 tests abroad.

In the meantime, the Sindh provincial government has announced that it will close all restaurants and shopping centers for 15 days effective March 18. Only pharmacies and grocery stores can remain open. The move takes place after Sindh has registered the highest number of 172 coronavirus cases out of a total of 236 cases reported in Pakistan on Tuesday. However, the delivery of food is permitted by the restaurants.
