The UAE has decided to close all commercial and shopping centers as well as the fish, meat and vegetable markets for a renewable period of two weeks.

In a statement released early Monday, the Department of Health and Prevention and National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management said the decision that precludes dealing with wholesalers should take effect in 48 hours and be reassessed.

Grocery stores and pharmacies are excluded subject to review and evaluation.

After the decision, restaurants are not allowed to receive customers. Instead, their services are limited to home deliveries only.
