London Stansted Airport has created a special tribute to the heroes of the NHS with a huge thank you message at its airfield.
A ten by seven meter logo now adorns one of the airport’s most important taxiways next to the runway and was developed by Ross Barker from the airport operations team.
Steve Griffiths, Chief Operations Officer of London Stansted, said: “The whole country has teamed up to recognize the fantastic efforts of our brave and brilliant NHS and health workers in the relentless battle against Covid-19.”
“As part of this tribute, colleagues working at the airport join the weekly applause, but Ross asked if we could go a little further and create a special thank you message at the airport.”
“It is a brilliant idea and a very fitting opportunity for the airport to thank all of the NHS staff who work so hard to protect us all with immense difficulties and challenges for them personally during this time.”
