The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has extended the closure of its tourist sites and events due to a corona virus pandemic.
In addition, all government ceremonies, sporting and cultural activities are suspended until April 30, while authorities have extended the absence of unnecessary staff in government departments until April 15. The closure of all tourist spots by April 30, while hotels, restaurants and fast food stores will remain closed until April 10. The government instructed to close beauty salons and hair salons by April 7.
General stores, medical supply stores, grocery stores, tandoor, bakeries are exempt from the restrictions. The orders do not apply to shops for everyday goods such as fruits, vegetables, meat, chicken, milk, auto repair shops and petrol pumps.
Last Tuesday, the provincial government had imposed section 144 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, capital of Peshawar, for 14 days to investigate the cases of coronaviruses. A notice has been issued to impose section 144 on banning crowds, public gatherings, religious, political, social and other events to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Local administration said the restrictions will continue until April 7, with the exception of hospitals, clinics, laboratories, pharmaceutical factories, and medical stores.
