Fines were issued to 721 people on Dubai beaches who failed to comply with the Covid-19 safety precautions. The fines were imposed between March and September as per the authorities.

Colonel Saeed Al Madhani, acting director of Dubai Ports Police Station, said the force will not tolerate local residents disregarding measures to ensure the safety of local residents.

The emirate’s beaches and parks reopened on May 30th, weeks after they closed as a precaution against the spread of the virus.

Beach goers must wear a face mask, maintain reasonable social distance, and cannot go in groups of more than five people, except with members of the same family. If you do not wear a mask and do not ensure removal, you will be fined AED 3,000.
