The Consulate General of Pakistan, with the help of people, distributes food to those who have been fired from their businesses due to the effects of the Covid-19 corona virus in the UAE. Aid is also provided to Pakistani citizens who have been stranded in the UAE due to the termination of flights between the UAE and Pakistan.

“The Consulate General of Pakistan, with the help of a few members, is distributing dried rations to needy Pakistanis who have been stranded due to flight closures or have been fired from their businesses,” the consulate said Thursday.

The consulate will contact these people to deliver rations or to schedule a call at a specific time.

There are currently around 1.6 million Pakistanis living in the UAE.

The consulate also helped repatriate over 100 Pakistanis stranded at Dubai International Airport due to flight closures this week.
