Emirates Airlines has expanded the list of laboratories where Pakistani travelers can perform Covid-19 tests. Several public entities have been added to the list, bringing the total number of approved centers to 133.

28 of these are in Karachi; 27 in Lahore; 19 in Islamabad; nine in Rawalpindi; eight in Peshawar; and three in Quetta.

Approved laboratories are also available in Wah, Multan, Faisalabad, Wazirabad, Bahawalpur, GD Khan, Muzaffargarh, Sargodha, Sialkot, Hyderabad, Sehwan, Sukkar, Larkana, Abottabad, Sawat, DI Khan, Bannu, Mardan, Sawabi, Chitral, Mirpur, Gawadar , Rawlakot, Gilgit and Skardu among others.

If the final destination for passengers from Pakistan is Hong Kong or China, the Dubai-based airline will only accept the Covid-19 negative test certificate from a Pakistani government approved laboratory with a QR code embedded in the printed certificate for verification purposes.

Meanwhile, passengers flying from Pakistan to Dubai with Airblue can carry out PCR tests in the Geray Nayab Lab and in the Doctor Diagnostic Laboratory and Consultants (DDLC), the airline said on Twitter.

UAE residents and tourists from Pakistan welcomed the expansion of the number of laboratories.
