Pakistani nationals who are stuck in the UAE due to air traffic closures and want to return have been asked to register.

The General Consulate of Pakistan, Dubai, collects data from people who want to return to Pakistan when special flights go into operation.

“The Consulate General of Pakistan is collecting data from people wishing to travel to Pakistan when special flights from the UAE are arranged. All concerned are asked to fill out the form and return the WhatsApp to 0097156-3962911 or email parepdubai@mofa.gov.pk,” the consulate said posted on social media on Friday.

The form is available on the consulate’s Twitter handle or can be used here for English and here for Urdu.

Like many nationals from other countries, thousands of Pakistanis are stuck in the UAE after the flights have been suspended to curb the spread of the corona virus.

The airline Emirates announced on Thursday that it has received approval to operate special flights to certain countries as of April 6. First of all, it will start with European cities and expand it to other countries, depending on the approval of the authorities in those countries. These flights are operated from Dubai International Airport Terminal 2 and only carry outgoing passengers from the UAE.
