Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) decided on Tuesday to suspend direct flights to the Italian financial center of Milan, citing sources.
The decision was made after the outbreak of the corona virus in Italy, particularly in Milan, where over 463 people have been killed so far.

PIA offers flights to Milan from Lahore and Islamabad airports. Sources familiar with the development said that flight operations to Milan would be suspended until March 31.
The order was given to cancel all flight bookings to Milan by March 31.
In the meantime, flight operations to Paris and Europe will continue.
Italy’s coronavirus deaths rose by 97 to 463 when Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte described the outbreak as the country’s “darkest hour”.
The number of confirmed infections in Italy also rose from 7,375 on Sunday to 9,172, according to official figures.

Italy is the most affected country after China. Cases of the virus have been confirmed in all 20 Italian regions.
On February 27, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) banned direct flights between Pakistan and Iran after the two confirmed cases of corona virus surfaced in the country.
