Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al al-Sheikh, the country’s highest religious authority, said on Friday that the prayers should be conducted at home during Ramzan and for the subsequent Eid al-Fitr festival if the outbreak of the corona virus continues.

“Ramzan’s Taraweeh prayer can be done at home if it cannot be done in mosques due to the preventive measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus,” he replied to a question, adding that this also applies to Eid prayers.
