Dubai is already home to the tallest hotel in the world – the Gevora on Sheikh Zayed Road – but the city will break its own record when the Ciel hotel opens in late 2022 or early 2023.
When completed, the 82-story Ciel in Dubai Marina will be four meters higher than the current title holder of the Emirate.
The 360-meter building will include 1,209 luxury hotel suites and service apartments on 82 levels. The project is developed by The First Group and designed by Norr Architects, who are also responsible for Dubai’s Atlantis The Palm.
Inside the hotel, everything revolves around contemporary interiors with a side of luxury and assigned green spaces. Much of the action takes place on the roof.
In addition to a glass viewing platform with a 360-degree view of Dubai Marina, The Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf, Ciel’s roof has a leisure platform, a bar and an infinity pool, which is one of the highest in the world.
There will also be two of Ciel’s four new restaurants. If you dine at this height, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the skyline while you eat. It is not yet clear which restaurants will open in the hotel, but a spokesman for The First Group said, “some incredibly exciting concepts will be announced shortly”.
Award Winning Architecture
At this week’s international real estate awards 2019 in London, Ciel was awarded the prize for the best international hotel architecture, the best hotel architecture in Arabia and the best high-rise residential architecture in Arabia.
The hotel is located in Dubai Marina, right in front of the Cayan Tower. Marina Walk and Marina Mall are within walking distance and Bluewaters Island is easy to reach.
