Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will launch flights to Pakistan in coming December.

With three new routes – from London Heathrow to Lahore and Islamabad and from Manchester to Islamabad – the new services will go on sale from this month.

All three are subject to applicable government approvals.

Pakistan has this largest diaspora in the world and the new services are aimed at responding to the large, rapidly growing demand for visits from friends and relatives of customers in the UK and US.

The airline also hopes to meet demand for business travel to the region as the global economy gradually recovers from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
