Visitors must carry a copy of confirmed return tickets when traveling to the United Arab Emirates. This is a compulsion for those visiting the country on a visit or a tourist visa.

The rules are strictly enforced and a large group of passengers from India and Pakistan were recently stranded at Dubai International Airport for failing to confirm return tickets. According to the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, a total of 678 Pakistani citizens have been denied entry to the UAE for non-compliance.

Over 140 Indian passengers were asked to return to their home countries on Thursday.
